Hans-Joachim Lietsche

In the early 1980s, Hans-Joachim Lietsche belonged to a church youth group that pasted illegal leaflets in the GDR. He was arrested by the Ministry for State Security and taken to a detention centre on Kissingenstrasse in Berlin-Pankow, where he was examined by psychologist Rainer Werner.

Lietsche was convicted of slandering the state and served his prison sentence of nine months in Berlin-Rummelsburg.
