Carlo Jordan

Dr. Carlo Jordan

A political dissident and civil-rights acitivist of the GDR, Dr Carlo Jordan was born in 1951 in Berlin. He co-founded the Berlin Library of the Environment and the Green Party of the GDR in 1989. As the spokesperson for the Green Party, Jordan participated in the round-table meetings for the first free city council elections in East Berlin. In January 1990, he participated in storming the Stasi headquarters in Berlin-Lichtenberg, which later became the Stasi museum.
